Action
Make Your Voice Heard
Do you know that very few federal dollars are allocated to address
the problems of eating disorders? Did you know that insurance companies
can deny access to care or limit the number of days reimbursed for
services? Without adequate treatment, an individual's eating disorder
worsens, sometimes leading to death.
The Renfrew Center Foundation is working with policy makers
and our Action Network to implement changes in federal and state
laws that will facilitate access to appropriate treatment and provide
resources for the education, prevention and research of eating disorders.

Part of a National Movement
The Renfrew Center Foundation is a founding organization and Board
member of the Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy
& Action (The Coalition). The Coalition is a cooperative
of nonprofit organizations dedicated to working on behalf of people
with eating disorders, their families, and eating disorder professionals.
The Coalition promotes, at the federal level, further investment
in the healthy development of children and others at risk for eating
disorders, recognition of eating disorders as a public health priority,
and commitment to research-based prevention and treatment of eating
disorders.
